The purpose of this event is to explore how contractors compile costs when pricing preliminaries for projects.

There will be an initial presentation on how preliminaries are typically priced, from high-level cost plans (where included as a percentage of the value of the works) through to a detailed build-up of items typically included within preliminaries when pricing works.

The panel members will then discuss how preliminaries differ from project to project and what intricacies need to be considered when planning for projects. This discussion will include an overview of the items that typically cause problems and how they can be managed.

At the end of the session, there will a brief Q & A during which attendees will be able to question the panel.
