Cyber Security - An Essential Update (Recording Option)

12:00pm Tuesday, 12 December 2023
Recorded Webinar

This webinar will focus on the responsibilities of Company Directors when it comes to Cyber Security.

The landscape has changed recently with the federal government flagging changes to the Privacy Act that would make cyber breach responsibilities for small businesses (those with a turnover under AU$3M) the same as larger companies. These changes would compel small businesses to report breaches to both clients and the authorities.

The cost to Australian small businesses that suffer a cyber breach averages at AU$39,000 per breach. In addition to this financial burden, the proposed mandatory reporting of breaches to customers could result in great reputational damage, and at worst, business failure.

It is of necessity that Company Directors know the right questions to ask of their IT Department, or external IT service provider, such that they attain the best possible protection.

The purpose of this webinar is to provide viewers with the information that they need to be able to ask the right questions.
