Software Implementation Consultant

Buildsoft is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estimator or Quantity Surveyor who is open to a new challenge to join our team as a Software Implementation Consultant.

The primary responsibility of this role is to demonstrate the business value of Buildsoft software to new and existing customers by providing implementation, onboarding, and training services that result in turn-key software solutions. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in pre-construction and estimating workflows within commercial construction, and have demonstrative success in implementing and training new software. 

This role reports to the Head of Sales and Marketing. We are open to providing flexible work arrangements, including remote work and reduced hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Business Development Managers to help facilitate product demonstrations, presentations, and customer meetings with a specific focus on commercial construction companies
• Perform workflow analysis to help map a customer’s estimating processes
• Consult with customers to help them optimise their estimating and tender processes
• Create and manage Implementation, Onboarding, and Training Plans in consultation with customers to increase adoption, usage, and value realisation
• Implement software into new customers’ operations by mapping existing and new business processes into Buildsoft software to provide a turn-key solution
• Assist customers in successful software change management by making recommendations to optimise existing processes and implement new processes and procedures to ensure successful software implementation
• Develop and deliver world class training programs, content and documentation that contribute towards increasing Buildsoft software adoption and usage
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and leverage the Sales Team to close deals
• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities with use of CRM and Zendesk. Feed customer needs into the internal organisation through customer interactions, industry participation, and competitive research.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with existing Buildsoft software, as well as growth opportunities for new software, and provide customer feedback to internal teams.
• Willingness to travel locally and interstate, including on-site visits with stakeholders, and industry conferences 

Required Skills:

• Experience in commercial construction practices and methodologies, ideally pre-construction. 
• Broad range of construction software knowledge
• Professional presentation and approach
• Comfortable meeting with senior estimating managers and decision makers
• Organised, with a high attention to detail
• Interpersonal skills
• Written & oral communication skills
• Work well within a team environment

Required Experience:

• At least 5 years experience as an Estimator at a commercial construction company for medium to large projects (working in Estimating or Quantity Surveying).
• An extensive understanding of the pre-construction and estimating workflows within commercial construction
• Extensive experience with estimating software, ideally Cubit or Global Estimating
• Bachelor of Construction Management, or similar tertiary degree (ideal, but not necessary)
