ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Fiona Doherty FAIQS, CQS

Fiona is a Director for RLB in Canberra and is involved with all aspects of project delivery. Fiona combines an excellent understanding of the most economic ways to achieve project outcomes with creative problem-solving abilities and well-honed people management skills.

Over a career spanning almost 30 years, Fiona has cultivated a proactive approach to cost saving and efficiency. In addition to her experience building strong teams with a shared vision, Fiona successfully delivers projects on budget and to program. 

Fiona is passionate about the role of the Quantity Surveyor and the promotion of the profession and its standards.

Candy Hui MAIQS

Candy is the National Cost Planning Manager at Lendlease who specialises in Commercial, Hotel and Mixed Use Development.

With 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Candy has experience across multiple sectors and is skilled in feasibility studies, budgeting, value engineering and cost management.

Candy is passionate about promoting cultural and gender equality, and enjoys mentoring young professionals in the industry.

Hannah Cox

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Hannah has worked in both the UK and Australia within Commercial disciplines for 12 years.

Her experience has largely been working on major infrastructure projects, including Crossrail and Sydney Metro, and she is currently focusing on Procurement.

Hannah is in awe of the knowledge that the people in our industry possess, and how no two days are ever the same.

Stella Lee

Stella has almost 7 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and 2.5 years in Project Management. She has worked on various projects ranging from education, aged care, residential, commercial, health and fitout.

Stella is the National President of AIQS Quantity Surveying Emerging Professionals (QSEP), formerly known as YQS.

Peta Krahn

With over 20 years Commercial Management experience in the construction industry, Peta’s current role with McConnell Dowell as Program Commercial and Governance Manager on their Level Crossing Removal Alliance draws on her strong Quantity Surveying background and wealth of experience in Head and Subcontract management. She has managed all commercial aspects of a wide variety of projects procured under various contractual models.

Peta’s current role sees her lead a team of 40, which includes Contracts, Procurement, Finance, Planning and Industry Capability and Inclusion professionals. Some of her recent major project experience includes senior management roles on the West Gate Tunnel Project in Melbourne and APLNG and Queensland Children’s Hospital in Queensland.
