Over the past couple of years, the rising cost of materials, COVID-19 shutdowns, supply chain problems and labour shortages have created a 'perfect storm' now battering the construction industry. This, coupled with fixed-cost contracts between developers, construction firms and sub-contractors has spelled doom for many construction companies.
