Webinar: Int. Chapter Region 2 APC Assessor Training

The Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) thanks all of our members who generously give of their time to conduct Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) Assessments. 

All APC Assessors must have a clear and thorough understanding of the AIQS Competency Standards, AIQS Code of Conduct, and the Membership Entry and Elevation Policy requirements in contemporaneous manner.

This webinar is intended as a training and refresher session for all APC Assessors in the AIQS International Chapter Region 2.

Topics that will be touched upon during this session will include:

• Becoming familiar with the basis of assessment using the competencies
• Understanding each competency and activity relating to their particular discipline
• Attending training sessions and training updates
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the industry and its processes
• Working as part of a team
• Preparing for the assessment - both beforehand and on the day
• Being collectively accountable for decisions reached by the panel

About the speakers:

Mr. Ajantha Premarathna FAIQS, CQS

Ajantha is a Board Member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors International Chapter Region 2. He is the former President of the AIQS International Chapter Region 2 and is the current AIQS APC Assessor Chairman.

Ajantha has 4 decades of experience in Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration and Dispute Resolutions in Sri Lanka, Oman and the UAE. He has served many Government and semi-Government organisations as the Head of Quantity Surveying and Commercial Departments, and is currently serving as a Managing Partner of  KAT Project Consultancy.

Mr. Dhammika Gamage FAIQS, CQS

Dhammika is the former Director, Councilor of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors for International Chapter Region 2 and former Chairman of  AIQS UAE Branch.

Co-representative for the UAE - Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka. Past Chairman - Institution of Incorporated Engineers, Sri Lanka UAE  Branch and former IIESL Council Member.

Past Chairman - Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors, UAE Region.

Certified Examiner Trainer / APC Assessor of Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors, Institution of Incorporated Engineers - Sri Lanka, Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

Contracts Director - National Investment Corporation, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
