Site Visit to Melbourne’s fully electric building at 480 Swan Street, Richmond
Developed under a carbon neutral framework, 480 Swan will be one of the first fully electric buildings in Melbourne. 480 Swan Street will be a fully electric and carbon neutral office building, targeting:
• 6 Star Greenstar Rating
• 5 star NABERS Energy Rating
• WELL Platinum Rating
The 480 Swan St project is a 32,000sqm A-grade commercial building for Charter Hall, with Australia Post as the anchor tenant. The building consists of 11 above ground mixed-use office floors, 2 basement level carparks and a ground floor which includes retail, landscaped public realm and office lobby spaces.
This project has strong environmental credentials, including 6-star Green Star rating, Platinum WELL rating and a Carbon Neutral build. Additionally, the project is achieving many social goals, such as a Re-Love partnership to assist families escaping domestic violence and an Indigenous Employment program to involve First Nations people in the project. 480 Swan Street will not only re-activate the Richmond-Burnley precinct, it will also have a positive impact the community around it.
