ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Heidi Schweikert Heidi brings those skills and experience to major projects, working with clients to identify and manage risk throughout the project to improve delivery and to identify and minimise commercial risk and claims. Heidi won the Lexology Client Choice Construction Award for Australia in 2018 and again in 2021 and she has appeared regularly in Doyle’s Guide for construction and commercial litigation since 2012. | |
Kiri Parr Kiri spent the first 25 years of her career as a construction lawyer, 15 of which as regional general counsel for Arup. She has decades of major project experience and has handled some of the largest disputes facing professional service consultants in Australia. As an active participant in Consult Australia for over 15 years, including as president from 2017 to 2019, a current board member of SoCLA, DRBF member and a member of the FIDIC Contracts Committee, Kiri is passionate about improving outcomes in the construction industry. | |
Gary Brady (MC) Gary is a former National Marketing Manager and National Operations Manager with BHP Steel and Divisional General Manager Marketing with James Hardie Pipelines. Gary has been responsible for price setting in major material markets across steel and pipe product. He has conducted major construction and building sector supply-side price negotiations, including rise and fall supply contracts, and has been responsible for client management with major building, construction and distribution channel participants. Gary is Director Bond Brisbane, Director Centre of Enterprise Governance within the Faculty of Law at Bond, and Chair of the Board, Anglicare Southern Queensland, itself a major developer of aged care and community housing developments. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland and Master of Business in Marketing from the University of Technology, Sydney. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. |
