Are you a Certified Quantity Surveyor (CQS) and would like to become an APC Assessor?

The AIQS invites Certified Quantity Surveyors (CQS) to undertake Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) Assessor Training.

Certified Quantity Surveyors undertaking the training will be added to the APC Register and may form part of a panel for APC interviews. APC Assessors earn 0.5 AIQS CPD points per Panel Session (maximum 7.5 points per annum).

About The Speakers
Don Leelarathne

Don Leelarathen (FAIQS,ICECA,CQS, FRICS) is currently working with Mitchell Brandtman (Victoria Office) as an Associate Director. 
He has 20 years' major project experience having worked in Australia, the Middle East and Sri Lanka. His sector experience includes Research Facilities, Hospitality, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Mixed Used and Residential Developments. Don's expertise includes Capital and Recurrent Cost Planning, Feasibility Studies, Bills of Quantities, Procurement Selection, Value Management, Tax Depreciation, Bank Reports and Contract Administration.

Don has considerable experience in Cost Management, Contract Administration for a range of community, local government, residential, commercial, research and industrial projects. He is specialized in the areas of Cost Planning and Feasibility Studies for large scale commercial projects.

He has also involved in major PPP projects in Australia mainly in Health, Education and Research sectors. Victorian Integrated Cancer Care Centre and National Bio Research Centre are the recent projects Don has involved under PPP procurement.

He is also;

•       Councillor - Victorian & Tasmanian Chapter (AIQS)

Doug Fletcher

Doug Fletcher (FAIQS, CQS) is currently working at GRC Quantity Surveyors as an Associate.

He is also;

• APC Assessor (AIQS)
• Vice President QLD Councillor (AIQS)

Doug has over 20 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying over a diverse range of projects with various contract procurement methods. Doug's primary focus and interest is with Government and Institutional projects.

Vincent Lau

Vincent has consulted in Quantity Surveying for two decades and has assisted the Victorian Chapter as President, Secretary, Treasurer, as well as chairing the Education & YQS committees. 

He has assisted local universities as a guest lecturer and as an external reviewer of their course structure & content. Vincent has presented case studies to his peers as part of their continuing professional development program and has mentored on the subject of Quantity Surveying and BIM measurement.

Vincent is a Certified Quantity Surveyor (CQS) and Fellow of the AIQS.

Terms & Conditions
1. Purchasers may indicate an intention to purchase Tickets by creating an online Booking. Invoices for Bookings can be issued for subsequent payment but Tickets are not reserved and will not be issued until payment has been made in full.
2. Tickets to AIQS Events are non-refundable, regardless of the cancellation date. Purchasers can transfer tickets to another person and update the name of the ticket holder needs to be made in writing to 
3. The Purchaser agrees to be aware of and to make any person to whom they transfer the Tickets aware of the following terms and conditions that relate to attendance at the Event by the Attendee: 
- Attendees consent to their image being captured in photographs and video of the events and that image being broadcast or transmitted in any way at the discretion of AIQS.
- All attendees are expected to behave in a professional manner. AIQS reserves the right to prohibit entry to any Attendee to an event, or eject any Attendee from an event, based on behaviour deemed unlawful, inappropriate or offensive by AIQS staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority.
- Persons attend the Events at their own risk. Attendees agree not to hold AIQS liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs, claims or liabilities suffered or incurred by ticket holders including consequential or indirect losses or loss of profit through booking for the Event, attending the Event, cancellation of the Event, failure of the Event to achieve expectations, or for any error or omission by AIQS. Attendees agree not to hold AIQS liable or responsible for any personal injury (i.e. physical, psychological or emotional stress) or any loss or damage to personal property.
