Fiona Doherty BSc (Hons) FAIQS, CQS, FRICS (Moderator)

Fiona is a Director of RLB in Canberra and the National Vice President of AIQS. She is involved with all aspects of cost management delivery working on a range of projects including major health infrastructure, education, local and federal government works. Fiona combines an excellent understanding of the most economic ways to achieve project outcomes with creative problem-solving abilities and well-honed people management skills.

Over a career spanning over 30 years, Fiona has cultivated a proactive approach to cost saving and efficiency. In addition to her experience building strong teams with a shared vision, Fiona successfully delivers projects on budget and to program.

Fiona is passionate about the role of the Quantity Surveyor and the promotion of the profession and its standards.

 


We Mild Spaulding MAIQS, CQS, Manager – Training & Quality, Rider Levett Bucknall

We Mild has worked in the property and construction industry for over 26 years and has extensive experience in a variety of Quantity Surveying services, over a diverse range and size of projects from all sectors of the industry, throughout Australia and Asia.

We Mild’s expertise include cost planning, cost estimating, preparation of bills of quantities and post contract administration. Having been at RLB for over 20 years, she is now the Manager in Training and Quality, providing both technical and career support to staff.

 


Adwoa Abban MAIQS, CQS Director and Owner of Quantum Phases Consortium Pty Ltd

Ms Adwoa Abban is the Director and Owner of Quantum Phases Consortium Pty Ltd, an independent construction cost, contract, and claims consultancy based in Perth. With over 20 years of international experience in the construction industry, she has expertise in multiple sectors, including light and heavy industries, infrastructure, mining, oil, gas, and petrochemical projects.

Ms Abban holds an LLM in Construction Law and Arbitration and a BSc (Hons) in QS. Her specialities include quantity surveying, quantum assessment, and cost analysis of complex projects. She provides contract management and cost control advisory services for capital-intensive infrastructure projects

 


Trudi Kirk MAIQS, Senior Quantity Surveyor at WT Hobart

Trudi Kirk is a Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience across a wide range of projects for diverse clients. Beyond her core work, Trudi is actively involved in the industry—organising events for the AIQS CPD committee, supporting colleagues with award nominations, and guest lecturing at Melbourne University.

After a career break in 2018, Trudi spent four years in the Victorian High Country, gathering historical cost data for benchmarking projects and helping clients make informed decisions.

Now a Senior Quantity Surveyor at WT Hobart, Trudi continues to contribute to the industry as Treasurer of the AIQS VIC/TAS Chapter Council, and is quickly getting up to speed with the Tasmanian construction landscape

 


Sarah Rolton MAIQS, Associate Director – Cost & Commercial Management, Arcadis

Sarah is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 15 years of experience working on a wide variety of building, construction and infrastructure projects across Oceania.

Sarah gained her professional qualification with AIQS in 2012 and her current role is Associate Director within the Cost and Commercial Management team at Arcadis.

Founded on her core experience in cost planning, preparation of bills of quantities and contract pricing documents, through to post contract management and finalising accounts, Sarah has broadened her service offering to include advice on costs incurred in respect of insurance claims, dispute avoidance and resolution, risk management and facilities management services.
