Join colleagues and industry peers to extend your knowledge on the highs and lows of risk analysis on government projects at this AIQS member-only face-to-face CPD event. Learn about the application of risk analysis methods in calculating project contingencies.
This event will highlight:
- risk analysis introduction from a QS perspective
- why we perform a risk analysis
- advantages and disadvantages of the different methods of assessing risk.
The panel will run for approximately one hour followed by networking and refreshments.

![]() | Moderator: Fiona Doherty FAIQS, CQS Fiona is a National Director of AIQS, Chair of the AIQS Diversity Steering Group, and a Director at Rider Levett Bucknall. As a Certified Quantity Surveyor, she combines an excellent understanding of the most economic ways to achieve project outcomes with creative problem-solving abilities and well-honed people management skills. Fiona's experience in the public and the private sectors enables her to work effectively with teams from each environment, utilising their different advantages and managing their constraints. |
![]() | Mark Chappe FAIQS, CQS Mark is a Director at Rider Levett Bucknall, AIQS Immediate Past National President, and AIQS ACT Chapter Treasurer. Mark has worked in the property and construction industry since 1978. Prior to joining Rider Levett Bucknall in Australia, Mark was a senior partner of a quantity surveying practice in Durban, South Africa. He was involved in various construction sectors including health, commercial offices and industrial, education, entertainment, residential plus significant pipeline civil engineering projects. He also was a part time lecturer in quantity surveying at Natal University. Since 1998 he has had significant exposure to construction processes and contracting methods within Australia whilst working with Rider Levett Bucknall. Mark has managed both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying services on projects varying from less than $1 million to over $2 billion. |

His expertise includes a wide and diverse range of services with particular emphasis on feasibility analysis, project procurement, cost planning, value engineering, contract documentation, contractual claims and Principal Consultant services. James also has specialist skills in dispute resolution and providing ‘expert’ opinion in litigation matters. |
